Emma got glasses on Monday. She only needs to wear them at school, but they're pink... so she'll probably wear them more often.

Yes, its only the first weekend in November, but Christmas is right around the corner, don't you know! We went to the BridgeMill holiday festival today, complete with Santa, a sleigh and four reindeer. I even convinced Nora to sit next to Santa.

Our two Dorothies had a blast trick or treating around the neighborhood with their friends last night. Nora faded a little bit before too long, but Emma has definitely hit prime trick or treat age... Dad wore out first.

Emma's Birthday!

Being as Emma has a summer birthday, she had 3 (count 'em) 3 Birthday parties this year! One with My Parents, one with Dana's Mom and one with a few of her friends. The party with her friends was a mock-sleep over including pedicures, ice cream and a movie/popcorn, then all the girls went home before bedtime. They all had a ball!

New House and the 4th

So... Here's another post that has been a long time coming. My parents recently bought their retirement house here in GA in a development called Lake Arrowhead (Waleska, GA). Their house sits exactly 21 miles door-to-door from our house and is gorgeous. The are not moving down right away as they anticipate retiring in about 3 years. Anywho, they closed on the house just before the 4th of July Holiday, so I put together an album of both events. Conviently the signage for Lake Arrowhead is red, white and blue... so the album theme kind of wrote itself :0) Enjoy.

In June of 2006, I was invited into my company's annual Circle of Excellence as a result of a number of wondeful people in my comapny and a little bit of hard work on my part. As an invitee, Dana and I received an all expenses paid trip to Maui, Hawaii. It was truly a memorable experience! Follow this link to a short slideshow of the pictures:

OK... Time to play photo catch-up. Here's a bunch of pictures that Dana wanted posted that span the last couple months. Click on the small pic to see it full size.

Dana brought home a "Plasma Car" which everyone loves riding around the kitchen! Move the steering wheel and it moves forward... kinda neat.

April 12, 2006 - Nora was upstairs in her room playing. Mom & Dad were downstairs when we noticed she was just a little too quiet. Mom went upstairs to check on her only to find her having re-approriated ONE POUND of Desitin (diaper cream). For those that don't know, this stuff is designed NOT to be removed easily.

Nonni & Poppi came to visit the end of March. They are likely going to be buying a house down here in GA and this was the first house hunting trip. We'll keep everyone posted.

Last but not least, Dana and the girls went to DC during the first week of April. Mom & Tom got a new French Bulldog named Theo and Nora was first in line to help out with the training.

Disney Trip - Post 1

Hey... just wanted to post some pictures sooner rather than later from our trip to Disney World. The girls are having a blast and it has been a great week so far... with more to come. I've got about 130 pictures already, and obviously can't post them all. Here are just a few of the higlights for now.

First, this is the view from our room. Yes, that's Cinderella's castle.

Next up are the little princesses... couldn't be any cuter. This was before we left for the princess breakfast at the castle.

Last for now is the best family shot so far. This was yesterday at the Animal Kingdom Character Breakfast. You'll notice Mammaw has one of the biggest smiles. She gets almost as excited seeing the characters as Emma does. :o)

We took a week long trip to Texas to visit Dana's family... lots of fun and lots of presents for the girls. As I sort through the pictures (and get approval from the boss) I'll post lots of them here... until then here's a couple of our little cuties.

So... for work I made a trip out to Scotland a few weeks ago. Very cool! Spent some time in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. Only took the little camera, but got a few pics worth sharing. Edinburgh castle, London Tower, Buckingham Palace, and the kilts I brought back for the girls. Looking forward to future opportunites to see more.
